Standing at 14 metres tall, Under The Baobab Tree – created by Pirate Technics – has been commissioned by London’s Southbank Centre for the Festival Of The World in the run-up to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics.
All of the materials have been hand-picked from the city and county, with many of the fabrics coming from Sneinton Market.
“Inspired by the idea of the space between strangers becoming smaller we created the Baobab Tree as a unique meeting place for chance encounters sparking new conversations.”
